From 2016 onwards, admission to all Government and Private Medical and Engineering Colleges in Maharashtra will be through MHT-CET.
Admission process for Government and Private Engineering Colleges in Maharashtra
Government and Private Engineering Colleges of Maharashtra will give admissions on the basis of a student’s performance in the Maharashtra common entrance test i.e. MHT-CET (PCM).
- MHT-CET (Engg.) exam is of 200 marks of 3 hours duration.
- The paper will be based only on Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics of Std XII syllabus.
- Paper 1consist of 50 questions of physics & chemistry each of 90 minutes duration with 1 mark for each correct answer. Paper 2 consist of 50 questions of mathematics of 90 minutes duration with 2 marks for each correct answer.
- No marks are deducted if you give wrong answers.
- The new admission process will be implemented from 2016 onwards.
Admission process for all Medical Colleges in Maharashtra
Admission to all Government and Private Medical Colleges in Maharashtra is through MHT-CET (PCB). Medical CET consists of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.
- MHT-CET (Medical) exam is of 200 marks of 3 hours duration.
- The paper will be based only on Physics, Chemistry & Biology of Std XII syllabus.
- Paper 1 consist of 50 questions of physics & chemistry each of 90 minutes duration with 1 mark for each correct answer. Paper 3 consist of 100 questions of Biology of 90 minutes duration with 1 mark for each correct answer.
- No marks are deducted if you give wrong answers.
- Students must pass Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects individually of their Std.XII Board exam with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General category.
Admission Process for Pharmacy Colleges in Mumbai
Admission to B. Pharm colleges in Mumbai is only through MHT-CET. To get admission in Pharmacy colleges a student can attempt either the engineering CET paper or the medical CET paper.
- MHT-CET exam is of 200 marks of 3 hours duration.
- The paper will be based only on Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics/Biology of Std XII syllabus.
- Paper 1 consists of 50 questions of physics & chemistry each of 90 minutes duration with 1 mark for each correct answer. Paper 2 consist of 50 questions of mathematics of 90 minutes duration with 2 mark for each correct answer or Paper 3 consist of 100 questions of Biology of 90 minutes duration with 1 mark for each correct answer.
- No marks are deducted if you give wrong answers.
- A candidate must obtained a non-zero score in the MT-CET exam and also 45% marks in their Std.XII Board exam
